Learn the art of grappling and ground fighting in our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program. Sport, competition, and self-defense applications are covered in class. Classes are tailored to fit the ability of the students and are open to all teens and adults.

Jiu-Jitsu is an amazing and intricate martial art system that focuses on improving your position and gaining submissions without the use of striking.

⭐ Physical growth: There are many physical benefits to jiu-jitsu training. Lose weight and build muscle while increasing your endurance and flexibility. You will get a full body workout from the warm ups in the beginning of class, to working on moves with a partner and freestyle training at the end of class. 

⭐ Mental growth: A jiu-jitsu match is like a game of chess. You need to think one step ahead of your opponent. Through training, you will develop a large mental catalog of moves. Being able to quickly decide which move to do next is important in being able to win a match.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • ​We recommend for you to come in 15-20 minutes before your first class to get fitted for a uniform and take a tour of the facilities.

 

  • We recommend attending 2-3 classes a week if your schedule allows for it.  This will improve confidence in the skills learned and boost self-esteem.

 

  • We have men's and women's locker rooms where personal items can be stored during class (ie: shoes, jackets, clothes, bags).

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS:

  • Wear your gi (uniform) and belt to every class.

  • Feel free to bring water or a sports drink with you. We also have a drinking fountain available and bottled cold drinks for sale in our pro-shop.
