ADIRONDACK MARTIAL ARTS ADVENTURE
Imagine a long weekend in the beautiful Adirondacks spending the days training in a dojo overlooking Star Lake, kayaking, swimming, hiking and finishing the night with a bon fire and s'mores!
We will see you in the summer of 2020!
We have packages available for students and parents/guardians of students under 18. The student packages includes all training sessions, lodging and meals. The parent/guardian packages includes lodging, meals and a free sunrise yoga class.
Training includes various classes: in kata, weapons, self-defense, jiu-jitsu, and escrima stick fighting. Classes take place in a building overlooking Star Lake - a truly breathtaking experience. Weather permitting, training can be done on the grassy hill overlooking the beach (adding an extra challenge of training on an incline!).
Camp is held at The Haven at Star Lake. The Haven has a long history beginning in the 1920's as various private camps. In 1964 it was turned into a recreational facility for students at Potsdam College. Today it's a campground available for all to enjoy.
The Haven spans 40 acres of land including over 300 feet of waterfront property on Star Lake. There are over 17 buildings on the property for lodging and recreation. Access to all activities at The Haven are included in the camp package. These include:
A Recreation Hall with a pool table, foosball and ping pong.
A beach with kayaks, canoes, paddle boats and lifejackets.
Small dock that you can fish off of.
Bon fire pit.
The Haven is located in a great area of the Adirondack Park. Close by activities include a public golf course and mountains with hiking trails.
