This will be a great weekend full of fun and martial arts training. Here are some helpful suggestions to make the weekend the best it can be!
We have reserved the lodge on Friday, July 27th through Sunday, July 29th. Arrival time on Friday is after 1pm. Checkout time on Sunday is before 12pm. Early arrivals can be coordinated and accommodated on a case by case basis.
They have the capacity for 40 people in the dorms with a combination of 2 person, 4 person, and 6 person rooms. The bedrooms are configured with bunk beds in a dormitory style and there are shared male/female bathrooms. Each bathroom has 6 individual showers as well. Please be considerate of other guests.
As guests, we will have exclusive use of the lodge and pavilion. Other amenities that are available include the beach, canoes & kayaks, the recreation building, the outdoor volleyball court, horseshoe pit, and the playing field. There will also be an organized bonfire Saturday night near the beach.
Meals will be provided in this schedule:

What do I need to bring?

Training material (uniform & belt, weapons – sparring gear not necessary)

Bedding (Sleeping bag or blanket & pillow)

Proper clothing is key! Evenings can get cool so be prepared for the hot and cold weather!

Bring fluids with you during training sessions – there are no drinking fountains in the training area

Rental Rules & Regulations

The Haven staff is allowed access to the property for repair and inspection. The staff will access exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner

Please abide by the room maximum occupancy for safety

The lodge kitchen is not available for use by the guests
-
No starting fires in lodge fireplaces
-
No smoking is permitted on the property – including porches
-
No pets permitted
-
Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Guests are responsible for any damage
-
Only use appliances provided for their intended use

Facility Amenities

All porches and chairs are available for use by guests

The following can be checked out at the office at no cost:
-DVD/VHS movies
-Balls for the billiard table
-Paddles & Balls for the tennis table
-Volleyballs, footballs, & kickballs
-Horseshoes

All checked out equipment must be returned after use to avoid a lost charge

The swimming beach is not monitored by a lifeguard – adhere to beach rules at all times

Life jackets must be worn when using all watercrafts

Swimming permitted only in designated area
-
No hiking on trails alone – use the buddy system!
-
Be considerate of others
-
-Limit your time on watercraft & rec hall table games
-Be aware of your noise level during sleeping hours

Housekeeping

Bathroom facilities and break room are cleaned daily, but there is no daily housekeeping service provided for the rooms
-
A set of linen can be provided at check-in for an extra cost
-
It is recommended to bring your own towels, sleeping bag or blanket, and pillow
-
No linen, towels, or bedding provided by the Haven can be removed from the units
-
Please do not throw any combustible materials in any of the fireplaces on the property
-
Fireplaces are only to be started by Haven staff
-
Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper to keep the septic system running properly
-
A $15 lost key charge will be charged at check out for any lost key
The owners, staff, volunteers of the Haven are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that may occur while on the premises or its facilities. They are also not responsible for any loss of personal belongings for valuables of the guests. Please treat the facility with the same level of respect you treat your dojo.
If for any reason, you have an unpaid balance for the camp, you will need to pay your balance at this time.
